Telenursing has emerged as a strategic tool in the provision of remote care, particularly in the post-COVID-19 pandemic context. This perspective article explores the foundations, advances, and challenges of telenursing, as well as its impact on accessibility, continuity, and quality of care. It analyzes its clinical, educational, and administrative applications, along with the technological, regulatory, and ethical challenges that accompany its expansion. Finally, it highlights the opportunities for professional development and nursing leadership within the digital health ecosystem, proposing a future agenda for its consolidation within health systems.
